NTSE Exam Pattern Guide (Stage I & Stage II)

The National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) was one of India’s most prestigious scholarship exams for Class 10 students. It was conducted in two stages and assessed students’ Mental Ability and Scholastic knowledge.

NTSE Exam Structure Overview

NTSE was conducted in two stages:

  1. Stage I – State Level Examination
  2. Stage II – National Level Examination

Both stages followed a similar structure.

Stage I – State Level Exam

Conducted by respective State/UT authorities.

Mental Ability Test (MAT)

The MAT section tested logical reasoning, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.

Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

The SAT section was based on the Class 9 and 10 syllabus (CBSE level).
