The Helpful Little Squirrel

Riya loved spending time in her grandmother’s garden. The garden was full of colourful flowers, green plants, and tall trees. Every morning, Riya watered the plants and watched the birds flying from one tree to another.

One day, while playing near a mango tree, Riya saw a little squirrel. The squirrel looked tired and hungry. Riya noticed that one of its legs was hurt. She gently picked up the squirrel and took it to her grandmother.

Grandmother cleaned the squirrel’s wound and gave it some water and nuts. Riya made a small box comfortable by putting a soft cloth inside it. She kept the squirrel there and looked after it every day.

After a few days, the squirrel became stronger. It could move around easily and started jumping from one branch to another. Riya was very happy to see that her little friend was healthy again.

One bright morning, Riya carried the squirrel to the garden and placed it under the mango tree. The squirrel quickly climbed up the tree. It stopped on a branch, looked at Riya, and moved its tiny tail.

Riya smiled and waved goodbye. She felt happy because she had helped a little creature in need.
